Personalized, evidenceโbased psychiatric care for adults in Los Angeles. I combine psychotherapy with judicious use of medication when appropriate.
What is anxiety?
Anxiety becomes a disorder when worry, fear, or physical symptoms (racing heart, shortness of breath, insomnia) are frequent, intense, and impairing.
Treatments I offer
Evidence-based medication when indicated (SSRIs/SNRIs, buspirone, beta-blockers for performance), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure with response prevention (for panic/OCD features), and skills for sleep and stress regulation.
When to seek help
If anxiety lasts most days for two weeks or more; causes avoidance of school/work/social activities; or brings panic attacks, insomnia, or health anxiety.
